Discover Tsokolateria

Tucked away in the heart of Tagaytay, Tsokolateria at The Boutique Bed & Breakfast offers more than just a cozy ambiance. It’s a true haven for anyone looking to indulge in the rich flavors of Filipino heritage, particularly with its famous take on chocolate. Whether you're a local or a visitor, stepping into this charming place feels like a warm hug after a long day of sightseeing.

Located at 45 Aguinaldo Hwy, Tagaytay City, Cavite, Philippines, Tsokolateria stands out not only because of its unique chocolate offerings but also due to its inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from the bustle of Tagaytay and experience a warm, comforting meal or dessert, all while enjoying scenic views of the city.

One of the standout features of Tsokolateria is its menu, a well-curated collection of sweet and savory dishes designed to celebrate the Filipino love for chocolate. The restaurant specializes in using local ingredients to create an authentic and distinct taste. The star of the menu is, of course, their rich, creamy, and indulgent tsokolate (chocolate), often served with a selection of freshly baked treats. The Filipino “suman” (rice cake) paired with tsokolate is one of the restaurant’s most popular dishes. The combination of the soft, slightly sticky rice cake and the thick, velvety chocolate is a flavor that leaves a lasting impression.

For those who prefer savory options, Tsokolateria offers a range of delectable Filipino dishes. Their chicken adobo is tender and packed with flavors that are both familiar and comforting, showcasing a mastery of traditional cooking methods. Pair it with a glass of iced tsokolate for the perfect contrast of flavors. And if you're craving something more filling, their pasta dishes with Filipino twists are worth trying-each plate is beautifully presented, yet simple enough to feel like home.

The ambiance of Tsokolateria is a delightful balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. The Boutique Bed & Breakfast adds an intimate, cozy vibe to the place, making it perfect for an afternoon of relaxation or an evening out with friends or family. With its warm lighting, soft music, and friendly staff, you’ll feel right at home from the moment you walk in.

As someone who has had the chance to experience this little gem firsthand, I can tell you that the service at Tsokolateria is top-notch. The staff are attentive, helpful, and passionate about the food they serve. They take the time to explain each dish and even offer recommendations based on your preferences. It’s this kind of personal touch that truly enhances the dining experience.

If you're thinking about heading to Tagaytay for a day trip or a weekend getaway, Tsokolateria should definitely be on your list of places to visit. The restaurant’s focus on quality ingredients and dedication to the art of cooking shows in every dish they serve. What makes it stand out even more is the fact that they don’t just focus on food-they pay attention to the overall experience, from the cozy atmosphere to the friendly staff who make sure you have a memorable time.

For dessert lovers, the tsokolate de batirol is a must-try. It’s rich, smooth, and perfectly paired with their delicious kakanin (Filipino rice desserts). Each sip transports you to a time when chocolate was made the traditional way, using only the finest local cacao beans. It’s a real treat that will leave you craving more.

The location is also quite convenient for both locals and tourists. Tsokolateria is within easy reach of many Tagaytay attractions, so it’s a great place to stop by after visiting local sites such as Taal Volcano, or even just for a peaceful getaway. Whether you're popping in for a quick bite or spending the entire afternoon lounging and enjoying the view, this restaurant offers something for everyone.

Ultimately, what sets Tsokolateria apart is its ability to create a complete dining experience that’s both heartwarming and satisfying. From the food to the service and the location, everything about this restaurant invites you to stay a little longer, relax a little more, and savor every bite. It’s a place where you can enjoy the authentic flavors of Filipino cuisine with a modern twist, all while surrounded by the beauty of Tagaytay’s cool, refreshing atmosphere.

  • Food Must try batirol. We tried the sampler a bit pricey but we enjoyed trying all the flavors! Food is good, the adobo flakes stood out for me. The rest are familiar tastes. Service Whem we visited, quite busy but thanks to attentive and professional staff good service. Atmosphere Romantic and i think is nice for evening dates. You can also do some side shopping for tea time utensils. Would go back? Not too soon but it is recommended to try by those who havent

  • I visited this establishment based on its high 4.5-star rating, but unfortunately, the experience did not quite meet my expectations. While the parking assistance was helpful, the limited space made arrival quite difficult. Despite visiting at 10:30 AM—typically a quieter period—the wait time was significant, and the staff appeared overextended. Additionally, the table placement and general ambiance felt a bit lackluster. While the food was enjoyable, it didn't stand out as much as I had hoped. I am open to returning in the future, as this may have simply been an off-day for the team.

  • Went here solo just to try the ube champorado. I loved it! Flavor is just right and complements well with the chocolate and milk that comes with it. The deep-fry meat also balance out the sweetness of the champorado. The place does have limited parking, which boggles my mind because this is a hot spot for tourists visiting Tagaytay. There is a paid parking just across the street BUT you need to cross the footbridge to get to this restaurant.

  • We’ve tried a lot of restaurants here in Tagaytay since we live nearby. **Location & View** – The restaurant is located just across Ayala Malls Serin. We visited during dinner, so there was no view to see—only the city lights at night. Even during the daytime, I don’t think this place offers a good view of Taal Volcano, as the location isn’t ideal for sightseeing. **Service** – The staff were welcoming and very accommodating. It’s clear that management has trained them well in customer service, which is a big plus. After serving the food, they even asked us how everything was, which we appreciated. **Food** – There are menus from both **Pamana** and **Tsokolateria**, so you can order from either. From Tsokolateria, we ordered *Tsokolate Ah* and *Tsokolateria Eh* since it was very cold that night. Both were excellent—rich and made from pure chocolate. I would recommend drinking them while they’re still hot, though, as they’re not as enjoyable once they cool down. For the main dishes from Pamana, we ordered the bulalo and bagnet. They were good, but not the best bulalo I’ve tried in Tagaytay. Still, it’s worth trying if you’re dining here.

  • First time to try this restaurant since we were craving for a good chocolate drink which by far is the best we have tried in Tagaytay. The place was cozy and nice, and was complemented with its great food and wonderful service. Will certainly be back.

  • Someone told me their champorado (chocolate rice porridge) and chocolate drinks were delicious, so my spouse and I decided to give it a try. Regarding the price, I find it a bit pricey, but that's typical for most restaurants. As for the food, it was delicious for me, and I really liked it—even the fried chicken was flavorful. It's a shame I wasn't able to take many pictures of the place because it was raining, but overall, the place and the service were good. I just wasn't informed that you're supposed to whisk the chocolate drinks (using a batidor)! Haha, I just stirred and drank it. Also, it wasn't served very hot; it would have been better if it was piping hot since the weather was cold. It was just slightly warmer than lukewarm. However, I definitely want to come back again soon.

  • It was our first time dining at this restaurant, and I honestly didn’t expect much—but I’m not exaggerating when I say the food was excellent and the service exceeded my expectations. Captain Abed, who assisted us, was incredibly accommodating. He consistently checked on us, refilled our water glasses, politely informed us about unavailable dishes, and patiently answered all our questions. His attentiveness really made our dining experience more enjoyable. The only downside was the long waiting list and the parking situation, which can be challenging, especially without anyone assisting. Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend trying this restaurant, and I will definitely be coming back.

  • One of the best restaurants we've visited in Tagaytay! Though the queue was quite long when we arrived, it was actually pretty quick until we got seated even though it was peak hours. We barely waited 20 minutes to get our table. We initially got seated on the back of the restaurant with the Taal view but the tables there were pretty awkward. It also started drizzling so we got transferred inside--I suggest getting seated inside. I highly suggest getting their Adobong Baby Pusit two-ways! It's the best adobong pusit I've tried but the serving was pretty little. We also had their Nilagang Bulalo and it was okay. We also had the Tsokolate Ah and Tsoko Mallows and we loved it but the solo serving was little so I suggest get the double serving instead. The staff were also very nice and there was a birthday celebrant when we ate and they sang them a happy birthday!
